The Global Platform for Action on Sustainable Energy in Displacement Settings (GPA) is the global initiative promoting access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy in displacement settings, as outlined in the Global Plan of Action Framework and contributing to an inclusive SDG7. The GPA is steered by 15 UN and non-UN organizations and the Coordination Unit is hosted at the UNITAR.

GPA promotes the inclusion of displaced communities in energy policies and programmes through high-level advocacy and strategic engagement at national and global levels.

GPA develops partnerships and delivers tailored support to strengthen local energy ecosystems and delivery models in fragile and displacement-affected contexts.
Resouces Mobilization
GPA mobilises public and private finance by coordinating donors, designing innovative funding mechanisms, and unlocking climate finance for energy in displacement settings.
Technical Expertise
GPA drives evidence-based action by producing research, building a global knowledge hub, and offering training to enhance energy access planning and implementation.
